Our Kindergarten scholars learned about states of matter during our Monster Slime lesson. We added our liquid and solid materials to create slime, which has both qualities of a solid and liquid (polymer).
Ms. Joanne from Boundless Brilliance came to visit our class today! She’s a scientist from Occidental College. She taught us that there are all sorts of scientists and we are little scientists too. We drew a picture of ourselves as scientists and then used adjectives to describe ourselves. We also learned how to create a tornado in class that we can’t wait to do at home with water, dish soap, and vintages! We had so much fun learning! Thank you Ms. Joanne! 🌟 - Nov. 3, 2021
For October's Pumpkin Unit, our Kindergarten scholars did observations of a pumpkin. They learned about a pumpkin's features and then estimated how many seeds are in their pumpkins. As little scientists, they were able to explore the inside of the pumpkin and count the seeds that they will be planting next week!
